Gladiator

Today as i stopped by Towleroad for my daily dose, I recognized a tattooed covered man in a photo. The tattoo on the back of his neck says Tap Out Which is the same tattoo on his stomach. Which i remembered from a felony fights video i seen online a couple of days ago, as i was watching this video i couldn't help but to think this guy is really good on the ground he dominated the fight and even took petty on the other fighter not wanting to hurt him more then he had to. I was happily surprised to find out that he is a openly gay.

The New York Times magazine profiles ultimate fighter Shad Smith, who says he learned his craft as a response to how he felt the people around him might perceive him:

"...most of Smith’s childhood fights took place outside the ring, on the streets and at his instigation. He used to wear his hair in a mohawk as a tribute to the professional tag-team wrestlers the Road Warriors and prowl the neighborhood looking for fights. 'I was just mad-dogging everyone' — staring them down — 'until somebody said something, and then I’d put my hands up and start fighting.' He said he had 46 counts of assault and battery as a juvenile. 'And that’s 46 counts posted on me. Can you imagine how many there actually were?' I asked Smith why he spent so much of his youth looking for trouble. I expected some sort of clichéd, though possibly true, explanation — a difficult childhood or a Napoleon complex. What I didn’t expect him to say was, 'You know, bro, the sexual-preference thing.' Smith is gay, and I know of no other professional fighter who is openly so. 'I was always scared that my mom and dad would find out and wouldn’t like me, and my brothers wouldn’t like me,' he said. 'I was petrified, because I didn’t want anyone to find out. And I would try to be the toughest person around. That way, no one would suspect, no one would ever say it, no one would think it.'"

iPod & iPhone Upgrade

Oh no they didn’t? Yes, yes they did. Apple has officially launched a new 32GB iPod touch and a 16GB iPhone. Will this extra 16GB help rope in the costumers who sworn of the ipod touch do to it’s lack of space for a video iPod?Will the high price tag at $499 scare away costumers? Will this grant the iPod Touch the thrown for King of all iPods? These are all questions that will be answered on on all the Tech. blogs in the weeks to follow.

super bowl XLII goes to the giants!!!

Ok now who thought the Patriots were going to win??? Don’t front now you all did, except for me i had a felling deep down in the pit that they were going to snatch this game right out from under Tom Brady’s pretty little ass. i mean after seeing them take out Dallas and the Packers, i knew they were coming ready to play, and i just thought the patriots would to 19-0 and all. But they all just looked lost and mentally not there, all but Wes Welker #83 (New England Patriots) who was all over the place trying to make this game more interesting so i have to give it up for him. Another player on the field trying to make this game more interesting was david Tyree #85 (New York Giants) who had a beautiful catch in the photo bellow.

there's something in the air!

MacBook Air,
It's here! The much talked about MacBook Air is here and thinner then ever. The Apple website likes to call it an "Thinnovation", I would have to agree, as it is  the thinnest laptop in the world. And in the category of style i would name it the hottest laptop to date, coming in at 0.16-0.76 inches think, with a 13.3 inch screen, it's just awesome(For more on the new MacBook Air visit the Apple website, also check out the price). Just to let you know i am in love with this laptop, but I'm shore there will be allot of tech. people unsatisfied with this thinnovation, as with any new product there will always be something missing or something that should have been changed.

Oh and here is a always popular Apple ad.

One thing bad about being the most popular Mp3 player (iPod) you get blamed for everything. I don't really understand death by iPod, haven't we always had portable music players Walkmans and CD players.

a urban "K"night

Darren Manzella is the definition of (A Urban “K”Night) a man that is trying to make a change and a point. His story will be airing on 60 minutes this sunday so tune in. Here is a article recently featured on TowleRoad on this story.

{TowleRoad}

“This Sunday, on 60 Minutes, Lesley Stahl will look into the U.S. military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy, offering evidence in the form of Army Sgt. Darren Manzella that the armed forces look the other way during wartime, refusing to discharge troops even in the face of "graphic proof" that they are gay.

According to CBS: "Manzella, a medic who served in Iraq for a year, currently serves as medical liaison for the 1st Cavalry Division stationed in Kuwait, where he says he is 'out' to his entire chain of command, including a three-star general. After leaving Iraq, he started receiving anonymous emails warning him about his openness that suggested he was being watched, so he went to his commander to head off an investigation he felt was coming. 'I didn’t know how else to do it,' he tells Stahl, acknowledging that he initiated an investigation of himself by violating the policy. 'I felt more comfortable being the one to say, 'This is what is real,'' Manzella says. He then says his commander reported him, as he was obliged to do, and then 'I had to go see my battalion commander, who read me my rights,' he says. He turned over pictures of him and his boyfriend, including video of a passionate kiss, to aid the investigation. But to his surprise, 'I was told to go back to work. There was no evidence of homosexuality,' says Manzella. ''You’re not gay,'' he says his superiors told him. This response confused him and, he says, the closest a superior officer came to addressing his sexuality was to say 'I don't care if you're gay or not."  (More)
