Henry Roth, a misanthropic, emotionally complex New York author of a hit children's book series, is forced to team with a beautiful illustrator after his best friend and creative collaborator passes away. All messed-up, Henry tells kids that Santa doesn't exist, he hates sleeping with--and next to--anyone, including his girlfriend, and must lay on the floor, usually with heavy objects on top of him just to feel safe. As Henry struggles with letting go of the ghosts of love and life, he discovers that sometimes you have to take a gamble at life to find love. 
I really like this movie it’s so clever, its a “romancedy” (romance/comedy) with a dark overlay. And if you new me you’d know i am a sucker for a nice romance, they’re my guilty pleasure. The lead caricature Henry Roth (Billy Crudup) is so whacked out of his mind its just adorable, and you can’t help but fall for him.
Most memorable quote: “Ok i’ll start. I hate my mother, I hate my god dam dead father more, Rudy was the only friend i had, i had a girlfriend once who i used to liked to masturbate to more then have sex with, carrots and snakes frighten me um... I'm superstitions about the numbers (finger spells numbers). i can only stir things counter clockwise and i know that if i don’t something bad will happen. I take size eleven 1/2 shoe ah... i don’t have a favorite book. Ahhhummm... oh... what's crucial? oh i don’t drive or ride in cars. statistically speaking you have a 100% chance of being in an accident in your lifetime they’re death boxes. i give to amnesty international on the off chance I'm ever imprisoned and tortured for my political beliefs. paradoxically i have no political beliefs. Umm... Life is pain, black kids are cuter then white ones, what's important? i didn’t mean it when i compared you to our waitress, i was only trying to hurt you. i could have been meaner about your looks and what i would have said would have made you cry. Ahhhummm... i have a towel i can’t through out cause it may have feelings. When i ejaculate i go in to deep depressions. though by any standard your a nice person, i deeply resent having to work with you. i love Japanese monster movies.”

Do you guys remember when they played the teaser trailer for this movie, during the intermission for “The Transformers” movie? They gave no name just 01.18.08, the date of its release. And with the trailer came a cloud of questions, and before you new it, it was all over the news how this trailer of a doomsday like movie was overshadowing “The Transformers” release. I remember trying to find the Trailer on Youtube and only coming up with “This video has been removed”. After doing some more digging around on other video sites like Dailymotion and Veoh I finely found the teaser trailer, and was in ah of the way they decided to film the movie.
The thing is i always thought it would be cool to make a movie that would use a amateur style with wicked C.G and awesome special effects. And that exactly what the did, the film is made as though it was shoot throw a handheld camcorder, the sales for what ever camcorder they used, will most likely rise after this film is released. This looks like an awesome movie i hope it lives up to the hype!
